Professor Dr. Abu Osbaa Welcomes the Canadian Mission Team Leader

Professor Dr. Abu Osbaa welcomed Brigadier Gen. Mark Janier, Canadian Mission Team Leader, and the delegation accompanying him in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs Prof. Dr. Muawiya Ibrahim and the Mag. Gen. Mohamed Haroun, the director of International Relations at the University, on Wednesday 30th of January 2019.

Prof. Dr. Abu Osbaa expressed his happiness in receiving friends of the Palestinians especially from Canada and also talked about the continuous development in the academic field, in addition to the future plan of the University by adding the colleges of information technology and communication.   

In a related context, Maj. Gen. Haroun gave an overview of the University, its programs, specialties and students' lives in the scientific and military training, in light of the continuous development of colleges and scientific centers.

For his part, Brigadier Gen. Mark Janier praised the experience of Al-Istiqlal University, the work mechanism and the academic disciplines of the bachelor's and intermediate diploma programs and what University offers to the student from the beginning of enrollment until graduation with expressing his country's readiness for future cooperation and support.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Muawiyah Ibrahim, Vice President for Academic Affairs, discussed the academic status of the University and its future plan in the field of higher education programs which began with the specialization Business Management.

At the end, the two delegations discussed the educational difficulties according to the occupation and the difficulty of bringing scientific expertise from abroad at the levels of training and education.
